Design & Technology (DT)
At St Paul’s C of E Primary School, we encourage our pupils to use their creativity and imagination to design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts. They are encouraged to undertake research and use this as inspiration for their own designs and creations.
In Design and Technology, pupils have the opportunity to experiment with their ideas and come up with solutions to fix problems both independently and collaboratively.
Through the study of Design and Technology, they combine practical skills with an understanding of aesthetic, social and environmental issues, as well as functions and industrial practices.
Design and Technology is an important subject in the curriculum, which not only promotes all of our learning behaviours at St Paul’s, but also prepares children for a rapidly changing world.
